2005 Kir-Yianni "Akakies" Rose
We sell lots of Rose -- but this is the first from Greece! It is a perfect example of the "quality revolution" we've heard so much about. The "Akakies" is a ruby-colored, dry Rose made from native Xinomavro. With great balance it is charming for sipping on its own and perfect for Spring and summer salads!

2003 Four Vines Old Vine Zinfandel $12.99
Aged in small French and American oak barrels, the wine begins with silky layers of berry fruit and spice, then glides into a lingering oak finish. Big on jammy dark fruit flavors and very light on tar, dried oak, and smoke tones. This is a good wine with a heavy emphasis on fruit. Oak and vanilla tones are subdued, so for those of you who like a fruity Zin, this is an excellent and affordable choice.
2003 Four Vines Anarchy Red Blend (Syrah, Zinfandel, Mourvedre) $29.99
An unconventional Rhone Blend. The blend is based on Syrah for that velvet mouthfeel and rich fruit, Old Vine Zinfandel for spice and backbone, and Mourvedre provides some anise and makes the blend resonate. If you like the Rhone, this wine will blow you away.

2004 7 Heavenly Chards 19.99
The translucent mid-straw 7 Heavenly Chard has a clean, engaging floral nose. It possesses a bright, creamy texture plus luscious pear fruit flavors and a judicious note of toasty oak. Round, balanced with a nice zesty finish, this is a stylish Chardonnay by way of Lodi, California and a very good value.

2003 Sonoma Coast Vineyards Chardonnay $45.99
Where did this new label come from? Resembling its famous Sonoma cousins but priced for a song this '03 SCV has all the rich powerful fruit and style that commands the big bucks (and big scores). If you're looking for a new label, or to get ahead of the curve we recommend you try this silky textured gem. |
